  • Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the presence and distribution of earthworms in the “Reserva Hidrica Dique La Quebrada”, a hydraulic dam reserve in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. Monthly samples were collected by digging and sorting earthworms from collection sites in two different native vegetation areas: mountain woodland (“bosque serrano”) and mountain grassland (“pastizal de altura”). The climate of these areas are both subhumid and mesothermal, with annual rainfall of 700 mm. Five species of earthworms exotic to Córdoba were recorded: Amynthas diffringens; Amynthas hawayanus, Aporrectodea trapezoides, Aporrectodea turgida and Octolasion cyaneum. A distribution of each species is provided.
