On some aspects of suboptimal filtering applied to f0, f−1 and f−2 noise terms in charge measurements

The present paper discusses some aspects of filter acting on noise spectral densities with f0, f−1 and f−2 frequency dependences. The fluctuation in charge measurements is discussed in relation to the type of the δ-response of the charge measuring system, either unipolar or bipolar semi-Gaussian, to the presence of a flat-top, to the symmetrical or asymmetrical character.
