Parameter Based Quality Measurement of Data Warehouse

Data warehousing is most demanding technology to facilitate analytical processing on data from remote sources. This technology is being employed successfully today in many organizations specially where a huge data is managed . for example, in the understanding of customers and their buying habits. Data warehouse exists to serve the decision-making needs of the enterprise. To achieve Organizational quality improvement, a Quality Data Warehouse must be used to serve the analytical needs of the Companies not only require a data warehouse but a Good Quality data warehouse. In general Quality can be defined as Measure of excellence or state of being free from defects, deficiencies, and significant variations. ISO 8402-1986 standard defines quality as "the totality of features and characteristics of a product or service that bears its ability to satisfy stated or implied needs." A data warehouse is also a software product and designed to meet the requirements of the user. The user appreciate those products which are Quality Products .So it is very much needed to device such methods which can be used to measure Quality of Data Warehouse . Measurement of quality of a Data Warehouse is very much needed and we must need an understanding about this Technology. We have presented a simplified approach in this paper for measurement of Data Warehouse
