  • Abstract
The n-γ discrimination by the charge integration method has been used with a NE213 liquid cell associated with a specific photomultiplier Philips XP4512B. Such a device, which is part of the DEMON array (French abbreviation for DEtecteur MOdulaire de Neutrons), permitted us to identify up to six high energy neutron reaction channels in an organic scintillator. Through the analysis of recoil charged-particle spectra, light yields of protons, deuterons, tritons and alphas were deduced. Experimental results were fitted by the method of least squares to the two parametric formulae proposed respectively by Birks and Chou. Depending on the type of the detected charged particles, the KB and C parameters are extracted and compared to some values reported in the literature.
