  • Abstract
Over a period of almost sixty years, a surprisingly diverse range of accelerator activity has occurred. rliest involved the electrostatic machines constructed at the University of Melbourne between 1938 and 1950. The most ambitious project undertaken, a 10.6 GeV proton synchrotron at Canberra, was never completed. and other developments in laboratories through the country will be reviewed.
