Abstract
An overview of different readout architectures proposed for the ATLAS Semiconductor Tracker is presented. Basic building blocks and methods of signal processing associated with each architecture are discussed with respect to the ATLAS requirements and limitations. An overview of available radiation hardened technologies is given and some aspects of radiation hardened implementations of different circuit are discussed.
