  • Abstract
    We have built a Silicon Pad Detector for experiment E-835 at Fermilab. The detector general features are (a) compactness; (b) good resolution on the longitudinal track coordinate (along the beam); (c) capability of delivering pixel information; (d) full geometrical acceptance in the solid angle covered by the experiment; (e) good transparency; and (f) fast multiplexed read out. These characteristics will prove particularly effective to identify and reconstruct the ΦΦ→4 K final state, thus allowing the experiment to study the elusive 1P1 charmonium state in this decay channel too.
