Abstract
In pulsed-source chopper spectrometer systems, the energy-defining chopper inevitably drifts in phase with respect to the time at which neutrons emerge from the moderator. Without some means to account for it, such an uncontrolled jitter degrades the resolution. Here we describe a method for eliminating or diminishing the effects of the chopper/source pulse timing uncertainty
