Abstract
This report describes a monitoring system for the stability of a soft X-ray monochromator installed in BL27SU of SPring-8. In the monitoring system, two high sensitive encoders are used as a monitor of the stability of gratings. The influence from the cooling water and a vacuum pump was observed by use of the monitoring system.
