Estimation of nucleation parameter for neutron-induced nucleation in superheated emulsion

Threshold temperature for neutron detection has been measured using mono-energetic neutrons of energy 5- and 15-MeV with superheated emulsion. The nature of the response near threshold for mono-energetic neutrons has been discussed. The validity of using a constant or variable nucleation parameter for neutron-induced nucleation in superheated emulsion has been studied. The relationship between different nucleation parameters (“a”,“b”,“c”) has also been found out.
