Influence of Some Technological Links on the Production and Quality Parameters in Castor-Oil Plants (Ricinus communis L.)

Given the multiple uses of castor oil in chemical, aerospace and pharmaceutical industry, it was considered necessary to continue research in the area of improving castor-oil plant production under the specific conditions of transition economy. Crop diversification is a matter of interest for European Union, which by means of the new agricultural policy recommends the extension in the member states of the non-food crops, including the castor-oil plant (Ricinus communis L.). The paper presents the results obtained in the experimental culture of castor-oil plants in 2012, in terms of using two new technological links. Valorizing the experimental results was performed by the analysis of variance and correlations between production and some morphological characteristics.
