Abstract
OPERA is a long-baseline neutrino experiment, designed to observe ν μ → ν τ oscillation through the appearance of ν τ in an almost pure ν μ beam over a baseline of 730 km . This paper briefly describes the detector, the analysis and the status of the analysis of 2008 run.
