Abstract
Results concerning domain wall propagation in Fe77.5Si7.5B15 and Co39Fe39Si7B15 glass covered amorphous wires tested before and after glass removal are presented. The domain wall velocity depends linearly on the drive magnetic field. The critical field of reverse domain nucleation decreases with increasing the wire diameter. The drive magnetic field is higher for Co39Fe39Si7B15 glass covered amorphous wires than for conventional ones (with diameters of 80–300×10−6 m) having the same compositions, the critical field of reverse domain nucleation being one to two order of magnitude higher. After glass removal a decrease of the nucleation and drive fields was observed. The domain wall mobility increases for amorphous wires after the glass removal.
