Abstract
The application of a microscopic, nonlocal theory of optical response has been made to the study of the resonant Bragg scattering from infinite and finite three-dimensional crystals. A simple dispersion formula is derived for the former and, for the latter, a general expression of scattered field and the increase in radiative damping at each Bragg channel for a one-dimensional array of atoms have been worked out.
