Multiband effects on superconductivity in A3C60

We consider multiband effects on the superconductivity in the alkali-doped fullerenes. It is shown that the multi-band superconducting gap is reduced to the well known Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer expression due to a cyclic symmetry in orientationally ordered phases. This justifies many previous works assuming single-band s-wave pairing without considering several conduction bands explicitly.
