Abstract
Polystyrene-poly 3 hexylthiophene (PS-P3HT) block copolymers have been synthesized and their molecular organization was investigated in solution and in bulk using X.R. and neutron scattering techniques. The structure of the conjugated skeleton of P3HT chains is described by the wormlike chain model (with a persistence length chain Lp ~ 33إ ). In solution doping induces an increase of the chain stiffness and a much weaker aggregation than for homopolymers. In the solid state PS-P3HT copolymers show a phase separation. This dispersion was proved to increase photo and electroluminescence properties of P3HT.
