Abstract
The electrochemical synthetic conditions to prepare high quality polypyrrole films of high electrical conductivity ( > 300 S/cm) are investigated. The low temperature transport properties of polypyrrole-hexafluorophosphate (PPy-PF6) films are optimized by the control of polymerization conditions such as temperature (Tp), current density (Jp), and the total charge passed during polymerization (Qp). The controlled electropolymerization of polypyrrole at low temperature results in the preparation of metallic films of positive temperature coefficient of the resistivity (TCR) under 15 K.
