Abstract
In this work, we report the results of electrical characterization of phenylene-vinylene oligomer based diodes with different metals used for electrodes. Analysis of the current-voltage-temperature characteristics in different samples has shown that the charge transport is controlled by Poole-Frenkel effect at high temperatures and by hopping process at low temperatures. The influence of the polymer-metal contact observed on the current-voltage characteristics might be due to the presence of metal oxide layers formed in the interface region.
