Abstract
e investigated the electrical characteristics of sensitive films for an in-plane to develop the gas sensor using Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) method. The itaconate copolymer (C18ITA-VE2) is used as sensitive materials. The conductivity of C18ITA-VE2is distributed in the range of 10−710−6[S/cm], which corresponds to the range of the semiconductor. We have investigated the conductivity change of C18ITA-VE2 LB films after injection of organic gases. In the experimental results, the relation of sensitive materials and organic gases can be divided by three-region. Thus, we can fabricate the modelling of the gas response characteristics using the conductivity change of C18ITA-VE2 LB films.
