  • Abstract
The eco-exergy density (kJ/g) and eco-exergy flow rate (kJ/g s) have been found as function of time for the evolution. The results show that exergy density and exergy flow rate are excellent descriptors for the evolution. Self-organizing systems as the organisms are expected to grow in complexity exponentially according to Mooreʹs law, which is also the case for exergy density with good approximations. Exponential growth corresponds to a first order reaction (dx/dt = kx) and exergy flow rate increases with an exponent >1.00, i.e. the rate of increase (the slope in a semi-logarithmic plot) is increasing. Extrapolations of the graphs seem to indicate that the first primitive life form maybe of cells with less complexity than the prokaryote cells has been brought to us by the open space.
