Recent developments in the crystal chemistry of high Tc superconductors

In spite of tremendous world activity, motivated by the fantastic potential applications of the high critical temperature (Tc)superconductors and their apparently easy crystal chemistry, new families of materials are still being discovered, ten years after the ‘HTcS’ rush. That is, ten years after the race for new materials began after the discovery of superconductivity in copper oxides. The strategy of synthesis is based on the application of new structural and chemical mechanisms to the parent structures.
