Abstract
The heat treatment technique of 7175 aluminum alloy was optimized by classical gradient method and evolutionary algorithm, respectively. It is shown that the classical gradient method is liable to converge to a local optimal solution of heat treatment technique, whereas the evolutionary algorithm can converge to the global optimal solution of heat treatment technique.
