Nanospray mass spectrometry technique for analysing nanomaterials from molecular precursors up to 1.5 nm in diameter cluster

A mass spectrometry method (nanospray mass spectrometry [NMS]) for analyzing nano-scale materials and their precursors is described. We show that both positive and negative ionic modes in NMS are promising as they provide insight concerning the structure analysis, the composition and the stability of materials up to 1.5 nm in size.
