Abstract
Thermomechanical processing in the production of titanium alloy semiproducts is a multistep process including consecutive heating and deformation at β- and α+β-field temperatures, cooling after each deformation, final heat treatment. The designing of a structure during such complex processing is possible only on the basis of a thorough knowledge of the mechanism of its evolution in dependence on various processing parameters (temperature, strain value and rate, cooling speed, etc.). This paper deals with the role of the above mentioned physical processes and regimes of thermomechanical processing in the development of regulated structure in the α+β-alloys
