Abstract
Hydrogen-induced delayed fracture of lead zirconate titanate ceramics during dynamic charging in a NaOH solution under constant load has been studied. The results show that the normalized threshold stress intensity of hydrogen-induced fracture, KIH/KIC, decrease linearly with the logarithm of hydrogen concentration in the specimen, C0, i.e., KIH/KIC=0.4–0.155 ln C0. When C0=9.84 wppm corresponding to charging current density of 300 mA cm−2, KIH=0.01KIC=0.013 MPa m1/2.
