Abstract
Layers of carbon nanowalls have been obtained by plasma assisted chemical vapor deposition following the injection of acetylene in radiofrequency argon plasma beam in presence of hydrogen and ammonia. Their wettability was investigated by contact angle measurements (sessile droplet method) and condensation experiments. Surfaces with water contact angles over 150° were characteristic to the nanowalls layers. The material properties are discussed in relationship with experiments of use as platforms for cell growth.
