Research on bulk nanostructured materials in Ufa: Twenty years of scientific achievements

Research into the production and properties of bulk nanostructured materials was first initiated in Ufa twenty years ago and has continued to the present day. This paper traces these developments and briefly summarizes some of the many achievements coming from this work. The impact of this research is examined with respect to the many publications from Russia in the field of Materials Science appearing in the scientific literature over the last ten years.
