Abstract
Hot deformation tests of the Cu–0.6Cr–0.03Zr alloy were performed on a Gleeble 1500 system with various strain rates at different deformation temperatures. The flow stress was employed to analyze the effect of work hardening, dynamic precipitation coarsening and dynamic recrystallization on deformation behaviors. The microstructures evolution was observed, after which the thermal deformation activation energy was calculated as 572.053 kJ/mol and constitutive equation was established. The processing map was established to obtain the optimum domain occurred at 770–800 °C and 0.01–0.05 s−1 for hot working.
