Abstract
This paper aims to draw an average cognitive map in order to explain the repayment default
factors of the Tunisian micro-borrowers (the factors accounted for the failure of the microborrowers’ repayment in the micro-credit associations in Tunisia). The method adopted in
the study of this phenomenon is the cognitive approach. Our study extends micro-finance
literature and previous studies by proposing a new approach to build an average cognitive
map for the explanation of micro-borrowers failure.
