A method for using the purely leptonic channels for W physics measurements at LEP

A new method for the analysis of W pair production at LEP2 in fully leptonic final states is presented. The method is based on the reconstruction of the W boost probability density function under simple kinematic assumptions and allows a straightforward inclusion of the detector resolution. The reliability and performance of the method are tested at generator level with a simplified detector response in the case of the determination of the W mass. The results are discussed and extrapolated to LEP2 final statistics.
