  • Abstract
The main goal of the wiggler is creation of high photon flux in energy range 10–100 keV for BioMedical and Therapy (BMIT) beamline for advanced soft tissue imaging for medicine including high-precision radiation cancer therapies. Total radiation power is about 10 kW for electron beam current of 0.2 A and 2.9 GeV energy. In November 2007 the wiggler was installed in the CLS storage ring. The cryostat design enabled long-term (up to one year) machine operation without liquid helium refilling. Consumption of liquid helium does not exceed 0.03 l/h. The main parameters of the magnet and the cryogenic systems, as well as experimental test results during machine operation on the CLS storage ring are presented.
