Abstract
Density and viscosity of diesel oils are vital parameters in determination of density and viscosity of oil-based muds. The purpose of current study is to develop new simple, reliable and explicit predictive tools to estimate diesel oil density and viscosity through multiple regression analysis. These methods are applicable from atmospheric pressure to 15,000 psia and temperature upto 350 °F. Results are found to be in good agreement with data with average absolute error being around 0.968% and 2.717%, for density and viscosity respectively.
