Abstract
The analysis is carried out for free convection in flows about permeable inclined surfaces embedded in saturated porous media having variable permeabilities and thermal conductivities. Both components of the buoyancy force are retained and the resulting governing equations are solved using the local non-similarity method up to the third level. The effects of lateral mass flux, Rayleigh number, wall inclination angle, wall temperature distribution, porosity and conductivity variation of the porous material on boundary layer thickness and heat-transfer characteristics at the surface are presented.
