  • Abstract
    The aim of the present study is to investigate the role of constructivism in the management of the learning systems in the third generation of distance learning systems. Therefore having this goal in mind a documental-analytical approach was employed to perform the study. The main question was that in the management of the learning systems of the third generation of distance learning what role the philosophical approach of constructivism play? In order to respond to this question, bibliographical resources and surveying of the existing documents was employed. The results showed that in the institutions performing the third generation of distance learning methods, the new learning environment was different and the management of such systems was more designed and prepared in a virtual way, and the emphasis was on person-centered learning-teaching based on the constructivism approach in which the individuals are bound to learn how to establish the foundations of the their knowledge by use of various and scattered data sources.
