Abstract
In the last years neutrino physics was shaken by many important experimental results bringing solid proofs in favor of neutrino oscillations. The goal of the present and future generation of experiments at accelerators is to complete the comprehension of neutrino mixing and of the pattern of neutrino masses, perform precise measurements of all these parameters and investigate CP violation in the neutrino sector. Most of these goals will be achieved with the study of ν μ → ν e oscillations, which are mainly ruled by the still unknown mixing angle θ 13 . A multi-step experimental strategy has to be attempted, depending on the magnitude of θ 13 . To cite this article: D. Autiero, Y. Déclais, C. R. Physique 6 (2005).
