Guidance notes for authors

Contributions to the Proceedings comprise: Papers, Short Communications, invited Comments and authorʹs Rejoinder, Field Meeting Reports, Correspondence, Essay Book Reviews, and Obituaries. Copyright issues, manuscript submittal, guidelines for style of the manuscript text and illustrations, and notes on electronic submission are discussed. The paper itself illustrates the style for the layout of text in the published work, and differences required when submitting the equivalent wordprocessor text file are noted.
