A method for calculation of soil structural pressure values

The values of soil structural pressures may serve as identifiers of boundaries of deformation zones below foundations. Under soil structural pressure, σsz, we will understand the maximum stress value for which only recoverable deformations may be observed. The paper presents a method for determination of structural pressures using oedometer test results. Experimental data published in literature were used for demonstration of the proposed method.
