Abstract
World tokamak fusion devices are mostly expected to explore more advanced control scenarios toward a future power reactor. Various experimental issues in the exploration require drastic improvements of plasma real-time control functions based on the understanding of a plasma equilibrium state. In particular, precise reproduction methods of plasma shape and current profile are the key elements for any advanced control. In this report, we discuss the status of these developments progressing at JT-60. In addition, future plasma controls leading to the standard design for a next generation tokamak is also envisaged.
