Technological development of the RFX energy transfer, protection and switching systems

The paper describes the technical improvement introduced in the reconstruction of the RFX transfer energy, protection and switching systems. The major modifications regarded the substitution of ignitrons with thyristors in fast making switches and the upgrades introduced in the control and measurement systems; the relevant design aspects, the construction and tests performed are presented and discussed.
