  • Abstract
    Nowadays the academic achievement of the students is focused as an important index to assess the educational systems. In spite of academic achievement, it was always focused by the teachers, students, parents, researchers and theorists. The main goal of present study is based on the comparison of academic motivation, social adjustment and happiness among the students, divorced parents and regular ones. The present study is descriptive and comparative. The statistical population of study is 45 students with the divorced parents and 45 students with the regular parents studying in boy’s primary schools of Tehran region2. 45 students with the divorced parents and 45 students with the regular parents have been chosen by simple random sampling method as the statistical sample. The used tools in the present study are: Valrnd academic motivation standard questionnaire (1992), Bell adjustment questionnaire (1961); Munch Happiness Questionnaire to measure happiness by Kozma and Stones (2000) and SPSS 20 software to analyze the collected data from the statistical samples. In present study to observe the hypotheses and their significance from the statistical perspective, independent t test was used. The results of the study indicated that: the academic motivation of students with the divorced parents is significantly more than the students with the regular parents (P < 0.01) the social adjustment and happiness of students with the regular parents is more than the students with the divorced parents. (P < 0.01)
