  • Abstract
Introduction Nerve sheath myxoma (NSM) is a rare benign neoplasm of nerve sheath origin with Schwann cell differentiation. NSM and neurothekeoma were considered one single phenomenon in the past. Case Presentation A 28-year-old woman presented to our hospital clinic with pain and a fixed firm mass in the proximal phalanx of the right second finger. Excisional biopsy was performed and histological examination revealed NSM. Conclusions Based on the findings, NSM should be considered in the differential diagnosis of firm and tender masses in the upper extremities of young adults.
