The Study of the Effect of Social Capital on Bank Arrears in the Branches of Mazandaran Melli Bank

The purpose of this research is to study the effect of social capital on bank arrears in branches of Mazandaran Melli bank. The current research’s statistical society is limited and includes all natural and legal persons in debt and having bank arrears in Mazandaran Melli bank. Regarding the number of branches scattered in the province, from existing information in Mazandaran Mellibank database, 389 cases were considered by case volume formula of Cochran and a questionnaire was sent to natural and legal persons. Cronbach alfa test was used in order to determine questionnaire stability that the amount of alfa was achieved more than 0.7 and the questionnaire enjoyed stability. Also Kolmogorov- smirnov test was used to determine data normality and/or abnormality, and for achieving the relationship and correlation between variables, Pearson correlation coefficient and linear regression have been used because of data normality. The research results show that social capital has positive and significant effect on bank arrears ‘decrease in Iran Melli bank and also it can be suggested that there is significant difference among social capital elements in terms of effectiveness. That meanwhile the index(trust aspect) is the most effective one,(communication network aspect) is in second place and the index(social mutual norms)is the least effective one.
