  • Abstract
Abstract Although the accurate meaning of analytical philosophy has merged in 20h century, but its root can be related to the history of philosophy. Peters has found meaning and functions of philosophy in general and special forms. From his idea, philosophy can be known in two ways. In the first way, philosophers are interested to questions about the nature of the world and knowledge, and in second one, philosophers are concerned with concepts, truth criteria and methodology of thinking and acting forms. Peters believes in philosophy as a second order activity. Frorn his, viewpoint education is a composite process and its philosophy can be taken from other branches of philosophy to solve the problems of education. Peters analyze has functional benefits, least of them, forcing teachers to philosophize on the nature of their activities in the light of clear concepts and evident relations between concepts, both with each others and with the expanded network of beliefs, as well as valuable and ideal form of life.
