Abstract
Background: b-Thalassemia major is a serious medical problem.
Growth retardation is commonly seen in poly-transfused b-
thalassemia patients. The exact mechanism of short stature in children
with thalassemia major is not well understood, however, it is
believed to be multi-factorial
