  • Abstract
It is a common phenomenon in modern English for nouns to be used as attributes in the form of singulars, but there are more and more plural nouns used as attributes together with the popularity of nominal singular attributes. Whether the occurrence of this tendency is fortuitous or natural has been a hot issue among English as a Foreign Language (EFL) lecturers and learners. As such, the current paper is aimed at facilitating EFL lecturers and learners’ comprehension of the fundamental principle of language forms serving the expression of language significance, thereby pushing the enhancement of potential EFL instruction along the fit and sound path.
