Abstract
Pyridine reacts smoothly with dialkoxycarbonate in the presence of propiolate to produce indolizines. Also, in this research, DPPH radical trapping and reducing potential of ferric ion experiments was used for determining antioxidant activity of some newly synthesized compounds and comparing results with synthetic antioxidants (TBHQ and BHT). As a result, some of synthesized compounds display good DPPH radical trapping and excellent reducing power of ferric ion. The present procedure has the advantages such as clean reaction, high yield and simple purification.
