Abstract
This study has evaluated the impact of agricultural credit on livestock income in district Lasbela, Balochistan. For assessment, we have used primary and secondary data to test the relationship between agricultural credit and livestock income. The results of the study indicate that agricultural credit help to develop livestock sector and enhance livestock income of the farmers by 65%. Furthermore, the elasticity of agricultural credit is higher than the elasticity of family size and education level. The elasticity of the credit, family size and education level are 11%, 0.09 % and 0.05% respectively. Thus, this paper argue that if the policy makers give priority to livestock in agricultural credit and devise easy credit procedures for the small farmers, will ultimately result in alleviating the problem of poverty and unemployment in the region.
