GAMBARAN PATERNAL RESPONSIBILITY DALAM PENGASUHAN ANAK, USIA DINI

Paternal responsibility is part of father’s involvement on children’s development. Father is expected to fulfill childrens’s need as well as children’s future planning. Paternal responsilibity is an activity that involves several important things such as giving name, choosing school, education, home, religion and children’s finansial management. The present research aimed to explore the father’s role on paternal responsibility dimension on children in early childhood development in Kupang. Data was collected through paternal responsibility questionnaire from 154 respondens as sample. Descriptive – theoaritical approach using cross-tabulation was used to analize the data. Result show that there was a different pattern of father’s involvement based on demographic factors such fathers education, job, age, children’s age, etnics, and birth sequences. Discussions and recommendations are discussed further.
