Obituari Prof. Dr. Umar Junus (2 Mei 1934 - 8 Mac 2010): Perginya “A Man for All Theories”

This essay is an obituary of the late Prof. Dr. Umar Junus (2 May 1934 – 8 Mach 2010) which is completed with the list of his publications. He is a leading and most prolific scholar in the field of Malaysian and Indonesian language and literature studies. He has contributed in introducing various modern literary theories in the academic world in Malaysia and Indonesia. His works, wich are hundreds in number, have enlarged the body of knowledge of the study of Malaysian and Indonesian language and literarture. It is hoped that the list of his publications presented in this essay will be useful for researchers of the Malay and Indonesian language and literature.
