EDITORIAL: Message from the President of Saudi Heart Association

In this second issue of 2011, we report to you the success of the 22nd Scientific Session of the Saudi Heart Association (SHA22). The meeting was held under the patronage of Prince Sultan Bin Mohamed Bin Saud Al Kabir. Two hundred and fifty international delegates and 3000 local delegates attended this important scientific gathering which started with two full sessions of the European Society of Cardiology and the European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery and a Fetal Echo Program as well as a research methodology program. This was followed by the seven parallel tracks in the different disciplines of cardiovascular medicine. Also, we have introduced for the first time a Cardio Genetics Session as well as a Basic Science Program.
